3872.
These are extremely significant findings. The P values indicate that grouping has a definite effect on how an observer searches for a target icon amongst two differing size groups of distracters. Subjects A and C were almost certainly influenced by the group sizes. Likewise, subject B whom had a P value that was comfortably below the 5% significance level was also extremely likely to have been affected by the grouping effect.

Discussions and Conclusions
The results presented and reported here in show that grouping effect is an important factor to consider when searching for a target amongst a series of other items. While the T-test results show no conclusive outcome, with some results indicating that the statistical means are different from one another, and some the opposite. The P values on the other hand provide very conclusive results for the existence of the grouping effect. Of the 3 observers, 2 produced P values of just 0.0002 for the location of a target from a smaller group, compared to a larger one. The third volunteer registered a P value of 0.0193 for the same test, still a significant result. It is argued that the only way in which an observer will track and locate the presence of a target continually within a smaller group first, is if he or she pre-selects this smaller group to search within first.
It is clear that more work is needed here to further establish and lend support to the conclusions reported here-in. The tests were extremely thorough, and in each case volunteers performed many different searches of many different parameters. The results of the P testing confirmed that despite the variable experimental criteria, a grouping effect was ongoing. Further support may be lent to these conclusions by gaining responses from more subjects.
Due to the novelty of this work there are very few referencing sources from which to compare the findings presented here in. Readers are directed to the work of Bundesen and Pedersen who identified that a group is selected before the search for a target begins.
